1) Flower quicker to dead-head (5) Aster? – faster without head?

2) Like godfather to be valiant (5/7) Stout hearted? – “fat” (stout”) is at the heart of “godfather”?

3) Lots swarming around daughter to see about some kind of date (3/5)- Old style? – Lots + d for daughter + Ely – a see gives old style – kind of date?

4) One conveyed part accompanying this is essential (6) – Parcel – Usually with part as in “Part and parcel” meaning essential.

This gives ARSDOEPL – Leopards?

I've only just seen this but if you are going to do it every week I will look out for it. Though I don't think I would have got there today

I did wonder if 2 was right, since it's either stouthearted or stout-hearted over here. Does the slash mean a hyphen? I thought it might mean two words.

Also, what do u think about trying to get clue chain started again now the weather has changed? I think we may be able to do it especially if we have between 4- 6 people or more the better ------ already looking forward to next weeks offerings X

Hi bobs mum
Good idea about clue chain (though I would have struggled today, as I've spent most of the afternoon cooking).

Hi bobs mum
Chicken korma, aubergine and potato in pickling spices and a red lentil and urad dal. Quite a lot of garlic and spice, so I'm not surprised that the aromas have penetrated the internet!
