As I frequently advocate, & just as often forget, it's important to read preambles at least 3 times.
This format has been used on several occasions & what I overlooked was the standard "... each group comprising the four entries sharing 
symmetrical placement."
Not sure if it  affected me much, but that was probably a useful point for anyone new to that type of construction.
Note to self:  "Read your notes, & the setter's."
