Other possibilities on the same theme could be minicab, minicar, minibus, pedicab, skydive, skilift etc.. It is difficult to solve cold, i.e. not having the whole crossword available. Please let us know is there an English word Tenanine. Look forward to hearing from you. Roger

It's a quiz not a crossword so there are no crossers. What an awful clue. 'Ten and nine' would have been marginally better, I suppose.

Please, tell us what the answer is and why. Are the clues numbered, for example?

As the closing date isn't until 17th November. I think it is a little early to be giving answers. I suggest you try a little bit longer especially as the setter didn't want people asking for answers on the internet.

I'll tell you the answer after the closing date This is probably the deciding answer in this quiz and if some can solve it without help then it seems fair to wait as you are not doing the quiz which I agree says please dont ask on the internet

I do not have the quiz but the answer has finally dawned on me!
I will not give it away as the setter asked for no internet help to be given but I will just say I was wrong at post 12 and wouldn't want to confuse anyone.
