I'm in the same position as you Demeter. I have A as quarrington with a misprint of B in the core. Can anyone explain how to get the initial thematic answers for I and L. Also I haven't properly understood H - any ideas?

For thematic L try an anagram of ar/the/owl/cat with one letter misprinted.

I is an anagram of the first two words, with one letter misprint.

Unless I have something seriously wrong I cannot find the definition of the unclued lights in the grid, any pointers would be helpful - as I need to persevere or move on!
