Don't know if you will read this SG but I also served in the RN and I still have vivid memories of HMS Ganges which I joined on Jan 6th 1959. Some of my recruitment (19) meet up every year to "swing the lamp". I have enjoyed reading your clues and I hope that you will return in the future
