Thought the problem might be with my PC or software.
I'll write to them. It must be a very subtle glitch.
They use the Wikipedia database which is huge, but somewhere in the depths there lurks a bug.

Morning/evening, Syzygy! I must chip in on this one. In my experience the CS machine has always left out thousands of words found in dictionaries: the multiple-word bit is extremely lacking. on the other handit often gives words I can't find anywhere else (esp. not in Chambers). So I use it, but in the knowledge it is not at all reliable or exhaustive.How on earth it can stem from any really large database is beyond me. Was always surprised no-one else ever mentioned this. Over!

Disappointed to find another misprint this week. Now stuck on last clue to be solved : 12d, I have ?E?TI? but cannot get the wordplay. Hints welcome.
