15 minutes to nearly finish, but now I am completely stalled on the last three. Any hints for 1dn, 19dn or 22ac please (I'll add the clues later if no RTers respond!)

Hi Chrise, 22d means gloomy and starts with the first letter of bomber, followed by a four letter word meaning an unofficial disclosure of information.

Sorry that should be 19d.
22a is the name of the seed capsule in cotton plants. There is a weevil with this name also.

Thanks torvic. I had heard of the weevil(not least, from Tom Lehrer) , but hadn't ever wondered why it was called that!

I'm stuck on 1d too. The only word I can think of is the name of a girl in a nursery rhyme who is asked to put the kettle on.

That would be a different spelling and number of letters, but possible perhaps.
