likely to be resolved by physics 7 c?r?b?e
if this is curable then why?

name once changed by the aspirate 5 ??o?h

any ideas please

Last one is ENOCH - anag. ONCE + H (the aspirate)

I suppose that if you were washing, you would turn the TAP on and run water from a cistern - however it's a bit feeble (and our cold water comes straight from the mains, anyway!

the other letters are correct, the only words i can find that fit are costean or cistern,so im thinking not a great clue? thanks for your help

Its contents are tapped by washers (7)....Has to be CISTERN....'tapped' meaning using a tap (fawcet)and 'washer' being a person washing dishes or the floor etc.
