OK, I've done the bottom-right corner, and I still don't know what the "missing words" / operator is

mrs trellis & Wendy

In the "Archive crossword search" section of the crossword page you can select a puzzle type and type in a serial number.
For some time before the Genius is due (I'm not sure how far in advance you can do this) if you select "Genius" from the drop-down menu and then type in the number of the "next" puzzle you will get a page with info including the name of the next setter.

It's 7.30 on Monday morning where I am (Birmingham!)but the Genius is still showing as "not yet available" when I click for the print version.Indeed the Java version is not appearing either. Any ideas?

Sorted! I've just noticed that Java has become disabled on my Firefox. It seems that issue also removes the print version. Here we go then!

Thanks for that rh142, I'll stop suspecting you of being related to Alan Rusbridger :-)

I'm a little unsure why there's a line under the first letter of 6D. I know what the full answer is, and I assume the "female" is the first letter of what you enter into the grid, not the single letter.

I was wondering if this were carried over from a previous grid, as there's also what I feel is a superfluous hyphen in 23D.

As far as I can see, all the "lines" fit in with the theme as per the Special Instructions. I can see no mistakes. You're right about the first letter to go in the grid for 6dn.
