pendragon

In 6D, surely the bar should be before the first entered letter, i.e., after the missing letter. There should be a hyphen in 23D, but, again, before the first entered letter.

I feel any hyphens or underlines should precede the entered answers in every case (and therefore not show at all).

Or have I got it wrong?

Either way, I'm not too worried, as it all fits in so far (as long as 6D does begin with an F).

pendragon - I'm not sure what you see wrong with 23dn. There is a hyphen in the unamended answer, but not in the word to be entered in the grid.

That's what I was saying peterm. So why is there a hyphen in the grid? Or so it seems to me. Either way, I'm submitting this now as it is.

I think!

Actually, I see what you mean now, pendragon. I was working on the print version, which shows a normal grid. The on-screen version does have a couple of dodgy marks in 6dn and 23dn. Ignore them.

Only 1a left, and can't seem to make sense of it at all - I can only think of one sensible thing that fits but it doesn't make sense to me. Is it something one would us when driving?
Also, although I get the theme and have all but completed, - does it actually tell us to do what we have had to do?
Maybe it's too early to discuss this as don't want to give spoilers.
