I'm surprised that I seem to be the only one having problems with 22ac.

I note that there are two possible groups of letters in the clue, but all the various combinations I have tried give no result. I have checked my down answers continuously, and feel they must be right.

Please, no answer, but is no-one else having a problem?

AJ1 - I'm having the same problem with 22ac. Could be either somewhere in 'chasing wild rabbit' or 'silly dog wees' -- but either way, I can't seem to find a word at all. I'm also stumped by a number of the other * clues, even though I have almost all the down answers now. I think the penny hasn't quite dropped with the second part of the instruction.

Thank you Perec. I've got everything except 22ac. If you've got the answer to 25/11ac read it carefully. That's your theme.

Thank you R - I have been doing exactly that, and can't find anything that fits. My down answers fit perfectly, so Ive no idea where I'm wrong.

Thanks AJT1 -- I do have 25 11, just not sure exactly what to do with it to unlock the * clues. Can I check that I am on the right track with 9ac (which is a French version of 25 11, right?).

12d is a port which Im sure you have
21d goes with gin
16d a plant
22a answer is Welsh 25, 11
