have been reading all your posts, brilliant, wish i was as clever. still cant get the clues given for no.s33,36,44.76. sny help appreciatedhave read down through r.l.stevensons books and only get 8 letters. help.

Heather 39: 33 is is in this phrase, in part through shoddy.
36 is ‘care’ about another name for a mountain pass..
44 was a device used on gossipy women a few hundred years ago.
76 is a breed of Mongolian horse google a ‘List of Horse Breeds’, it is there!
98 is the name of a Donkey, you are looking in the right place.

98. There is also a cryptic clue in the question which will confirm whether you have the name right:

i seem to have the same answer for no.5 and no.34. i think the no.34 one may be wrong.tibetan pony? i have them both beginning with "T".

heather39.. the key to the answer of number 5 is 'long gone' and yes it does still begin with a 'T' but a different breed.

Not having Chambers, I am having some difficulty finding the answer to: 32. The season to get a beast of burden.(6). Can someone give me an alternative clue please.

As well as Chambers, I've just looked in Collins dictionary and the answer was there so I assume it will be in most dictionaries.

I use Chambers online dictionary as a quick reference - www.chambersharrop.co.uk

If you go there and type in the seasons of the year one by one then one of them has your answer as a second definition
