Hints please for 38, 84, 94, and 97

sewskip, I can't help with 38, still struggling with that one. 84 is a name for a 'dandy' starting with a fizzy drink (I think). 94, I don't yet have. 97, is a card game (again I think). Perhaps someone else will correct me if I'm wrong.

38. Start with baby, follow instructions in clue and add a short word for 'strange'. It will give a type of horse which you'll probably have to google/Chambers to check.

97 yes I think its a card game. The races are called the so many guineas _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ . Over and out.

Hi everyone - am running a bit behind here have just got back from Australia! Please some hints for 11, 26 and 31

I'm not certain of my possible answers for 71 and 96; for 71 I can't see the horse connection - is it the first or second word, please? for 96 I don't understand the 'six'. I don't want to give the answers I've got because of those who only want clues, but could someone clarify for me? I'm happy to give clues to other answers, but so far all those I have have already been answered by other people.
