I'd like to draw attention to THEA's post 111. It cannot be right for a player to gain from not voting. My suggestion is a one vote deduction for a non vote and if that results in a tie, elimination.

As chrisg is setting this week I think it's up to him to decide if he wants to change the rules.

I dont propose changing the rules. I dont think voting is obligatory since there is no guarantee that any of us posting clues, will be on the site between 1330-1700 when voting takes place. As I have previously mentioned I will have to post the competition tomorrow because I will be away all day on Thur and not returning until Fri. Sorry about this

AQER - I am truly sorry to hear that.
Everybody - I dont want to cause problems Would you prefer to adopt the suggestion of non voting results in a deduction of one vote and if a tie -elimination?

chrisg, aqer (nee rambler) has a bit of a history of throwing his toys out of the pram if he doesn't get his own way. what you said about people not always being able to vote in the time allowed is very true so it would be ridiculous to penalise people for that. it's supposed to be a bit of fun isn't it, not the last word in democracy. anyway, democracy is a bit odd in any case - two idiots can outvote a genius!

One solution would be simply to extend voting time ?
