Thanks for the warning Wendy. I was tempted to click on the link but something stopped me. Glad I didn't!

Well since I posted I've had a look with Google and can't see anything untoward so perhaps I'm worrying for nothing.

Have also just re-read the posting and the English is certainly written by a foreigner.

Kilowatt - What is a 'sandbox' and how does it work - I recently received what I thought was an e-mail fromm my Canadian cousin, it looked a bit dodgy and so I didn't open it immediately, later that day I got another which I did open only to find a warning from him that his computer had been corrupted and to take care. To have something that could check out dodgy messages would be great.
Many thanks in advance for any help you can give (I have to go out now)

WARNING!!! Posted by a foreigner!!!

I once downloaded Proper English (TM) filtering software and only three or four e-mails got through in the course of a year. I couldn't even access the New York Times. I find that the Xenophobe (TM) software is (ironically) more tolerant.
But seriously, Wendy, I had the same thought.

I don't know if anyone else remembers, but this person posted a whole batch of "free" adverts on this forum, for his own crossword site. Soon after that, they were all removed.

I think Norah's been out with her Editor's Pencil - the link seems to have disappeared.

Seeing as we've got a rredundant thread now - I'll take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day.

I've spent the day helping with a charity singalong for the elderly where we raised £700 for MacMillan. May not sound like much, but when the overheads were nil (Aristo, that's "zilch") and all had a good time, it was a good job done.

hi Wendy
Very well done with that fundraising. I couldn't sing in tune - just mime.
Thank goodness the joint effort thread is still there but a few posts have been removed.
