Can s'one please explain the Gazza solution "Spanish Bluebell", as I puzzled over it in vain for what seems now like years, obviously on a completely wrong track, having little knowledge of Scottish rivers or flowers?! Have forgotten exactly how it ended!

So it's a pale, more erect, less smelly Iberian invader threatening the droopy, fragrant, native rival in the woods, is it? Sounds even more dramatic than solving crossword puzzles & riddles! Maybe I should join my wife in the garden & on her nature walks...

greedykite, I've no idea where this quiz comes from, but you must admit it's bloody good. of the ones I've answered none of the plants have been particularly obscure but some of the water ones have been. anyway,Gazza.

every second letter from gAzZa UnLoCk ArMy PlAn NeAt = azul campana. translation = spanish bluebell.

simples,eh?

Many thanks, Mamya: too late to try this time, judging by the difficulty, but do they create new quizzes regularly, always on Scottish themes?!
