Although I'm not one of the luminaries of this site, I'd be perfectly capable of starting this off but for the fact that our boat is due to arrive in France at exactly that time and we'll be there 10 days.

We've just bought a "Netbook" in the hope that we can keep in touch with the outside world while we're away, so if I can I'll join in but can't help to start it off - sorry.

I am prepared to kick off the clue chain some time between 12 noon and 1230 on Thursday 1st December. The clue will be an easy one.
However (there is always a however !) I am a little worried that some will be avoiding answering the first clue for fear of being committed to the following week's kick-off.
(We have had enough trouble getting a volunteer this week) What thinkest thou?
