Sorry I missed out. I was about to respond to the inconstant jazzgirl, but that clue-hog trevor beat me to it; then had to run off to work for a couple of hours. Hm. Hebrides...

And we don't even have harbours where I am. We have harbors. Nor am I an enemy of the state- though I am just over the line in Rhode Island, and that's only because I'm too big for it.

It's a good point phillip but if some is allowed two goes on the run they might be someone like ????? who may set two stinkers and kill the game. We could go back to the starter if no response?

i did mean 'they' rather than 'you'.
Although not easy to spot when i've written the word 'you' instead of 'they'.

Last message was for Berkspotter, trevor, in case you're not all the same person. Very confusing on this site- reminds me of the T-shirt that says "I used to be schizophrenic, but now we're all OK."

Perhaps you could throw it open for an extended 5 minutes and invite answers from those who have already solved and set a clue. That way you can keep interest from those who would otherwise "tune out". You could limit any one person to two wins(one in normal, one in extra time)

I think that's a very good idea Neil. Setter declares time and then chooses first correct solve posted. Dja would have to alter intro if we do this.
