Sorry - 'grizzle' isn't the answer.

Time's up on my clue.
The answer was 'maunder' - an anagram of 'am under', it means to grumble, mutter.
Back to phillip, I think?

game ends anyway at 4.30 doesn't it. seems little point in starting another now.

I thought that too, phillip - but didn't want to declare the game over!

I thought that everybody would be fed up by 4.30 and it's only an arbitrary time. If you wish to extend it's up to you but I do think there should be a finish point.

As a latecomer I wondered if I was the only one trying to solve the clue at around 4 pm.
Good game

He-Brides indeed! in many ways you are quite "modern" up North.

Is there not something about Gay Gordons?

The Dashing White Sergeant deserves a mention too - not quite as 'out' as the Gay Gordons.

yes, it is good fun. just a thought on the rules.
as you can only answer once you sort of might loose interest after someone has answered the clue you set and set their own. if their's doesn't get answered it reverts back to you (yes?). Is this a good move, chances are you are not around.
