Really stuck today!
17a (9) concerned with double vision? I've got
B---C-L--
22a (5) He lives, bizarrely, for some people
I've got E---S
18d (7) Students with zero faults
----C-S
and lastly
16d (9) After fish, go into chippy
C---R-T-R

Not sure about a couple of my solutions, so some letters may not be right.

Help!!!

Thanks all.

I managed to get novices once you gave me carpenter and elvis (easy eh?). 17a is binocular I think.

Many thanks again. I can do some housework now.
