Can I do something odd for a change and submit a brilliant clue which came into my head with the chips
"Damaged neck,bit of rope,disturbed soil---Get it at the next Underground stop.

The Ambler's post above reminded me of a limerick I composed for my School Magazine just over 40 years ago:

There was a young man called noti
Whose favourite food was Photi
He said on the whole
I prefer Dover Sole
As it's just the right shape for my doti

Thanks, Aristophanes - I am delighted to be a new resident in CHOF (Clueless Hall Of Fame). I thought there were many good or funny (and good AND funny) clues this week, so I feel particularly honoured.

Congratulations all of you! Sorry I was unable to take part this week but we're packing up our house in France ready for its sale.

I loved Francis' answer too, it's amazing how all of them could be so different with just one word as a clue.
