Good fun, with a nice little twist. Two possible errors. 6D has 7 letters, not 6, and I cannot quite see the parsing of 26D.

...and 31 Down has five letters, not the six listed.

Regarding 26, the second part is an archaic word for happen (often prefixed with be-) and the first word means sink.

Jono, I'd say 'thanks for the parsing' if I was a more thorough solver - 99% of the time, correct answers alone satisfy me! I'm sure Buzzybee will appreciate it.
