It's late for me since we have Summer Time for another week.
I've been waiting for your usual generous sharing of the tiny url

Hope you're still awake, my friends.

Hi Raffles,

By an odd coincidence, my big sis and I were discussing 4d just last week. His own brother described it as "drivelling rigmarole" and "unspeakably wearisome".

I read a few pages and... well, let's just say it's not exactly a page turner.

Of course, you might have an entirely different view - have you?

.... so you're not a coctail man Raffles?

16d is great. What I particulary like is that the phrase is one Bart is very closely associated with, so it reads very naturally and with a lovely, smooth surface.

Hi all. You might like 16D, Brendan, but it's eluding me, as are 18D and 22 & 25A, despite having the crossers.
I liked the misdirection in 9A (leaves!)

Thanks, Everyman

Hi Barry,

18d - 7 letter "showering" (as in the weather) with some of the letters "cycled" to the front - definition is "fix".

22a - "ports" in the drinks sense.

25a - establishments where the workers ("hands") use their "hands".

16d - an anagram - definition is "cartoon character".
