The theme...
Help towards the theme may also be sought here. The help given should be fairly gentle in nature - ie just a nudge, a pointer in the right direction. Please try to avoid giving any information that could spoil the puzzle for others.

Thanks, Arcadia - a complex construction that I think I've completed correctly! Took a while for the thematic PDM.

All done apart from one final clue. The one beginning Undo forward brace, which just won’t yield after a lot of looking. Presumably the def is the final 3 words. I know 4 of the letters, but painstakingly checking all possibilities for the other two has brought on early-onset strabismus. A hint?
