Pegasus is most visible at this time of year. If you are in the UK at present, it can be seen by looking directly South from around 11pm. In my starwalk app if I change my location to east coast America it’s seems to be about the same locally, so 11pm EST.

Cheers all,
Ttfn!

Congrats aristo and thanks jono. Thanks for the votes, swarbrules, geting, FJ, paul, and regeff.

Don't fully understand the winning clue. Is "recognise" = "peg"?

Thanks for all the votes, folks! And thanks for the nifty prizes, jono, although I’ve only gotten halfway through the origami one. Does it ever get finished? I’ll tune back in later.

chrise: “to recognize or discover what something is; identify.”

It’s very commonly used this way in the US at least.

jono: Maine has the darkest sky east of the Mississippi, and it’s particularly dark here on our island a few miles off the coast. A couple of weeks ago we had our annual visit from an astronomer who takes us out in a blueberry field and gives a tutorial with his laser (so cool). Anyway, Pegasus was of course prominent then.

Thanks aristo. Not common over here, I think. "Clock" is more coomon, and has turned up in a couple of puzzles recently!
