Hi stuck on this which i was sure was an anagram of nut engaged to
Clue “ Eccentric nut engaged to discover cornice moulding”

This looks like “egg-and-tongue” which is given in Chambers as a cornice moulding.
However, the anagram is one letter out, it needs another G rather than a T.

... and yes, an anagram. It's another term for 'egg and dart' apparently - I hadn't heard of that either!

Hi Tom,

If the clue reads nut engaged "go" instead of 'to' the, yes myou're right, it's an anagram of EGG AND TONGUE which was a used in ancient Greek architecture.
