Breaking the fourth wall refers to a stage actor addressing the audience directly, a device often used by Shakespeare.

The En dash (–) is a dash equal in length to the printed letter N. Longer than a hyphen (-) but shorter than an Em dash (—).

Thx . . The CM General is becoming a little more 'cryptic' in its cluing. The other day "Swiss capital" = franc . . bit annoying or am I thin-skinned?
