Raffles will be proud of me - I’m just home from the bar. Coincidentally, this particular bar offers a non-alcoholic pineapple 3d, but I have had some 3ds in the past made with vodka, so I guess they can go either way.

A write-in today, which was welcome after the week I’ve had.
I like to not write anything down when it’s a straightforward puzzle to add in a challenge and I managed that today.
Not heard the expression in 8a before.
