Thanks to all who took part in this week’s Clueless challenge. Not an easy one to clue, and with many good entries not easy to judge either.

Honourable mentions go to Wil’s reverse alt letters clue, Raffles “suspended sentence”, Baccy’s “colon bypass”, Swarb’s “extended break”, Motley’s “pies” (I thought “minced pies” might work here should your editor insist on a secondary anagram indicator!).
Surprised not to see any mention of “mutton” (see Chambers def 3).
