I agree with strangelybrown about the number of 'difficult to parse' answers in this one! Here are a couple that are currently stumping me:
43A Half a pair of pants? (6)
B _ E _ T _
It looks like it must be BREATH. But why?

53A Three is one and two and zero (7)
I _ T _ G _ R
This looks like INTEGER but (other than three, two and one all being integers) I don't know why.

Any suggestions?

Hi bilbow

To pant = to breathe
So half of a pair of pants is a breath
Just a bit of a jokey &Lit

Same with INTEGER
Three is an integer
So is two
And so is zero

What I don’t see is the last bit of 54a
The first 8 letters come from the first 8 words of the clue.
But how does the last letter link to the rest of the clue

En clair means uncoded so it is E both in Morse and uncoded

Thank you miles3659, I guess I was hoping that there was a bit more to it than that! But you're probably right.

Doesn’t 54a (Ship out of jurisdiction added E in Morse and en clair) work like this: first 4 words are definition, added = extra, E in Morse is dit, and final e is en clair?
