Nice, straightforward puzzle with the theme well-known to me. However, the indicated letter in 28 down seems to be extraneous and a little unfortunate! I might well have messed up but I can’t see where.

Teenieleek, I too thought it looked a little odd at first - but I don't suppose an apostrophe could have been worked in somehow.

Yes, it was definitely a straightforward puzzle, with a very gettable theme.

I suspect there will, again, be criticism of a too-easy Inquisitor but may I add my appreciation to any beginners who welcome the opportunity to complete a satisfying puzzle. Now I'm well into my 8th decade, with slowing synapses, it's rewarding to have an example which doesn't tease and infuriate well into the following week.

I think Forum members, on the whole, are quite good, polite, restrained. We seldom criticise the too easy puzzles - acceptance is, for various reasons, vital!

The last 4 letters of the message made me smile too 😊

I thought this was another excellent puzzle, and following the instruction made me realise that I had not properly registered the original contents of those two lights before.

Thank you, Chalicea.

Definitely an accessible puzzle nicely constructed with an end game that didn't drive me up the wall (unlike this weeks Listener).

I am another one who stared at the message for quite a while before thinking of an apostrophe.

I turned to the forum to make sure it wasn’t just me… 😆

I also had a raised eyebrow at the end of the message.

Was the IQ number a coincidence or a meaningful thematic year ?

JLC, the IQ number was the year the [theme] appeared, so mildly meaningful.
