Congratulations, raffles! Well done and it'd have been a shame if anyone else won this particular WPR.

Thank you Jon, for the word and the nod (elegant simplicity 😉), and the great prizes; all favourites, but particularly my favourite stand-up comedian: he sat down!

Thanks for the votes, especially Motley for the 2. Thanks all for the good wishes;
Indeed Geeker if this wasn’t mine I have to spend eternity in the snug, on my own.
Sláinte Swarb - Barbara Bush-Mills called me early last evening.
Go raibh míle maith agat, a Phóil.
Thanks SS for the gracious words.

I have to tell the 'Lent' story.
Alfie Byrne, 10 times Lord Mayor of Dublin, during one of his stints travelled to America to take part in the Paddy’s Day celebrations. There he was introduced to Mae West, who did her usual - come up and see me sometime. Alfie, a devout Catholic, replied - I can’t, it’s Lent. She quipped - well, when you get it back come up and see me sometime.
