Twit, thanks for your post. It was interesting to hear how you'd dealt with this puzzle. It seems slightly unsatisfying to have solvers wondering if they've got the endgame right. It's much better to have a nice definitive last step - even if solvers have to work hard to learn what that is. I think your submission, with your response to the endgame, your feedback etc, sounds excellent.
