Actually a lot easier than it looked from the blurb. The limitations on solutions imposed by the structure greatly aided solution, snd the clues themselves were not too challenging. Enjoyed it though, and the theme phrase dropped out pretty early.
To be fair to the setter, gourami, s/he would be far from alone in this. People often mix up the stages described in the original source with a closely related set of activities (being coy to avoid spoiler).
