26 a. Cold comfort initially in what editor says for my chance. We have OCCUR but why?

Cold Comfort initially in OUR (which an editor might correct from "my", though I don't see why).

Kfirst, thanks. I thought it was a valid clue, but not particularly good (or bad!). Maybe the setter had just come across that definition of 'our' and was keen to use it. The My/Cor is definitely on the very, very familiar side, the less well-known definition for 'our' perks the clue up a bit.
