Druh6sm. 4 is another word for Cast a spell on. There's an 8-letter word meaning 'tendency' -I have a ???????for being pedantic,and it loses the first letter (to avoid), which begins with the usual 'pressure'.

11 A. Is quite clever and fun. 'Reels' just indicates an anagram, the result is a very famous tale of servitude.

That gives me some letters for other clues.

One day (but I doubt it!) I might get close to completing a cryptic crossword.

If this were Christmas, then 11a would possibly be more relevant.

I've been doing crosswords for decades, butsome clues still look incomprehensible at first glance (and second glance...). You/we/one will never solve them if we don't have a bash

My answer was, of course, not needed but I am a very slow typers so, between pressing reply to this post and add post, there might well be another answer.

Thanks, swarbrules - that happens quite often (posts appearing while typing's still going on), but you needn't even be a slow typer for it to happen. I've been caught out myself.
