‘Hotel’ fits but I can only see the ‘close to Rhyl’ giving us the ‘l’.

11 Noisome means offensive, bad etc. Take OM, Order of Merit,order, out and you''re left with Noise, sound.

22d Books = OT (Old Testament) inside HE (outer letters of 'here') + L
