As far as I can see the anagram material for 9 down has one wrong letter and the anagram material for 33 across (OR EG PI) gives only one English word which doesn't fit in the space, unless he intends a misspelling of a word for a Pacific Ocean canoe. Where am I going wrong?

9d anag of D (deus, god) I N and BLOB EG TUI

33a gives a word in Chambers that fits; check your crossers perhaps?

Thanks Buddy, I was using "and" to supply the "n" and "d" which left me with an incorrect "a" for the word I wanted to enter, which turns out to be correct. Most internet sources seem to spell the Polish dish with an "i" between the "p" and "e". I only have an old Chambers so it may not be in there. I'll have a look tomorrow.
