For 34a, I had a 2 character US state (in the south east) ‘housing’ a single letter. Google said that the 3 letter answer was a ‘last 3 words of the clue’.

Because of the above, I had the wrong first letter for 36d which is why I couldn’t see the ‘variation’ for 1a.

If anyone's doing these puzzles, have you tried the one dated May 20th 19168 - 'Misprints'?

I've done most of it but I'm getting into a muddle towards the end. Unfortunately, it's one for which no solution is provided. I suspect there may be more than one error in the setting eg. 28 Across is certainly in the wrong cell, and I'm not sure if there should be a Down clue for what starts 2 cells to the right of 26 Across. I'm probably also misinterpreting how to enter the solutions for 'normal' clues.

If there's any interest, I can start a separate thread for it. Or happy to PM someone to discuss.
