Overall a pleasing construction, which has been made easier than it need have been. It's unusual and unnecessary to include some letters in the original grid.

Mobea, I am no expert but if you are referring to two of the 6-letter ring entries there is a reference in Wiki to the labels being reversed. Don't know if this helps?

gregwatsonuk. Off the top of my head, I am pretty sure that all radial puzzles end up with a couple of circles of random letters, but don't have any hard copies to back that assertion up!
