Thanks Mattrom. All clear now - I’d got the shortened bill but hadn’t spotted how to split the rest of the word.

Very neat end game which fortunately only took 3-4 minutes of grid staring. My only problem is that I cannot parse 1 across, even though I am 100% confident in my answer. I only see letters 6-9.

Just being a bit silly, I across now fully parsed.

Impressive construction to get the essentials in the right places. The only clue I didn't think much of was 25 down.

The extra letter phrase could also describe the following "The Welsh Rugby Union's desperate attempts to determine the number of professional rugby teams operating in the country"!!
