Hi all. FWIW, I encountered the pay wall again but seemed to get round it by doing a password reset and logging in afresh.

Good fun and a quick solve today, I liked 4d. Is there an unclued letter in 2d or am I missing something?

I found this satisfyingly challenging. LOI 16a. Nice rhyming pair. Some pleasing clues: 12a 13a but the standout COD for me was 9a to which the solution evaded me for quite a while.
As usual, I’ve completed it but there’s one I can’t parse: 16d. As I write this, I’ve just got it. Very clever. Thanks Everyman for a great puzzle today!

actonhighstreet If your letter is a C then you have misspelled

Any explanation for 12a would be very welcome.

16a led me astray as I thought it was going to be the name of something the real answer would enjoy.

stargull - read it backwards as 3,1,3.

Bit easier than last week but still very enjoyable. CODs 19A & 10D. Thought 15D was clever, too.
