I’d chosen the word because I had read (https://thelondonmagazine.org/article/raffles-the-gentleman-thief/) of our gentleman thief and put two and two together about our own resident GT (I’d not heard of him before!). Admittedly I often don’t understand Raffles’s references in his clues.
