Wouldn’t do if we were all alike! The puzzle has prompted me to give the theme an airing and it’s brought back happy memories.

I have solved a bunch of clues but not getting along with this at all. Can barely parse the rubric. What's this jumble business about? is it anagrams or are the words themselves out of order?

Thom, the jumbles are anagrams. An example - 31 A. three words there become a four-word thematic...

Thanks, Tom - and 'yes' to the meaning of 'number'. (Not overly revealing as I'm sure some of the unjumbled ones leapt out at you!)

Has anyone else found more than ten of “the remaining ten thematic clues”? I can see which ones to use, but slightly disturbed that I’ve found at least twelve of them!

Encota has tossed in a few red herrings, There are "numbers" in some clues which are not part of the very specific set of numbers that comprise the theme.

Indeed buddy!

Got there in the end with this one, probably the trickiest one I've done for some months.

Can I ask how people’s final grids look? The first three letters of the message could signify two things, to me. I have no blanks in the final grid, and have treated the short word generated by the jumbled clues as having the property of 1ac. So it retains the same number of letters. This strikes me as more thematic than triplication.
