@chris - you’ve reminded me, I was going to post about the origin of 1a in the Prize 😁

Seldom post for a number of reasons (not least of which is how long it takes RM to deliver the Eye…days after you good people have wrapped it up).

7d. I know the answer but can s/o pls break it down for me? I have an extra /h/. Unless the (former) duchess of York is Sara and not Sarah.

Theblackford...could you post the clue, number of letters etc? Not everyone has a copy. I've done the puzzle, but no longer have the magazine.

Theblackford...looks like you're right, the clue leads to a spare H. The wordplay seems to be Sara, Fergie, with H and A, opening bits/first letters, of 'horrendous apology' inside ('stuffed by'). I must have just entered the answer, which was so obvious, without thinking!
