By the way, a tripling of the usual cash prize awaits anyone who can interpret/explain Steve Miller's line "I speak of the ????? of love."

In the Steve Miller clip, weren't the string keys on the machine head of his guitar not on the normal side? I thought he was playing a left-handed guitar. Jimi Hendrix played a right-handed guitar upside down!

IIRC, Steve Miller is on the record as saying that he just made up the word "pompatus."

Re, Chris @72. In a closeup it looked as if the strings were correct though, with the highest frequency at the bottom. The bass player was playing left handed though. Maybe Steve had to borrow a guitar from him and re-string it. Or maybe he was just being a joker.
