Tough for me too!
Have tried on and off since Saturday.
Still got only half the solutions, (cold solving!) But do have several entered in the jigsaw.
So before I give up, can anyone help with these two particularly annoying ones.
A misprinted letter to be replaced in each clue, only in the wordplay.
Passed on Independent's betting tips to Hume before service (9)
Nurse coming after I tucked into extreme Indian meal (6)
Both having nice amusing surfaces, thanks Triton!

If you've solved a few of the clues, you should now have a good idea what the first letter of every answer is (if not, compare the first letters of the answers you've got to the clue labels).

In that first clue the misprinted word is a containment indicator, in the second it leads to a one-letter abbreviation.
