Blackcat5, and we weren't asked for 'his name', but how 'he was addressed by...' I've called my son many things over the years!

Thanks Malone. I've read the puzzle again. I had 3D as just being the son (which I now realise we were not asked for) and 18D as representing 2 words, one being the victims name, and the other being what the son called him. I'll get there!

blackcat5 - I've won two or three times. The first time was in 2019 when I was able to get the Chambers Dictionary. There've been one or two cheques for £20 since then but I've stopped submitting since they went over to John Lewis vouchers.
