I've got the three blocks, but struggling to find the paths between them- are they people, or geographical?

Also, I can't find any word that fits in 30ac for me- is the answer in Chambers?

30a is one of those mentioned in the preamble that is in Collins and not Chambers. It's a 7 letter "pattern" or 'prototype', 'model' etc around single letter "square" - definition is "part of crab's head".

Now, at the end, stick on 10d, which I think has a word removed?

10d - 2 letter "when" + "hot" - definition is "olive's cousin" and yes, there is an extra word.

This was one of the rare occasions when I completed fully a Listener puzzle without recourse to any thread. Thank you Agricola - very satisfying.

Strangely stuck. Confident of my grid fill and found the C-to B name easily. Presume the A-to-B is the obvious name to go with that, but cannot find a path through the relevant letters.
