A couple of hours to go.

Today's offerings ain't gonna be a bundle of laughs so, as an antidote, here's something I just discovered on You Tube.

Totally irrelevant but fun.

Thanks that was fun.
I’m reminded of this. It’s at Battersea Power Station, not far from me. I think the pianos are still there, or one is I’m sure. I played a couple of times.

I remember a quote from Ginger Rogers:
"I did everything that Fred Astaire did, but backwards, in high heels!]

Jono

I've seen that before and surprised at people walking past as if nothing is going on.

Raffles and I seem to have similar tastes in music so, not surprisingly, he guessed one of my offerings. Others went for the “correct” Birmingham. There was surprisingly only one pottery but the merciless one did make an appearance.

Paul came in with a couple of nice ones at 18 and 19.

Eider at 13, I have heard of him but he’s out of my price bracket.

Nice anagram from fj at 8

Apologies to those I haven’t mentioned.

My runner up, is Amej at 7

The winner, by a gnat’s crochet is:

Amej at 17.A good clue that reads well.

Balti capital - Biryani starts to smell of bacon.

A bit sombre this week, I’m afraid.

The Battle of the Somme, July-November 1916. Swarb (brought up in Birmingham) and Fairport, play this slow version of the tune written by Pipe Major William Lawrie during the battle.

Unless I win PR or WPR this is the nearest I can get to this date. One we should all remember.

Sorry about the depressing choices. If I win again, it will be full of jokes.
